This course is an introduction into metric differential geometry. Even the presentation of specific facts, the book should emphassize, for the benefit of the reader, the structrual (pictorial) aspects more than it does, to illuminate the essence of the formulas, for example, the way it introduces the theta forms on frame bundle omits entirely in mentioning that the essence of thse forms is simply the concept of a coframe.

More recently, topology and differential geometry have provided the language in which to formulate much of modern theoretical high energy physics. Clearly developed arguments and proofs, colour illustrations, and over 100 exercises and solutions make this book ideal for courses and self-study. The hiking trail, stream, and forest types share edges. The matrix is also valuable for doing computations in geometry.
