The irony here is that while these policies call for teacher education programs and institutions to make decisions based on evidence, the policies themselves are not evidence-based. Students come to school with their own ideas, some correct and some not, about almost every topic they are likely to encounter. However, I deleted this as grade level is arbitrary.
